Hub
Koreatown Resource Directory
No one in Koreatown should struggle to find help that already exists.
Visit Hub →Why this campaign
Finding help in Koreatown shouldn't require knowing the right person or speaking the right language. But that's the reality: resources exist — food programs, legal aid, mental health services, job training, housing help — scattered across dozens of organizations, each with their own website, phone number, hours, and intake process. For a resident who speaks Korean or Tagalog, or who doesn't have a case worker, or who just moved into a 90006 apartment and needs help paying rent — the search itself is a barrier.
Hub exists to collapse that barrier. It's a single searchable directory of 674 verified resources across 13 Koreatown zip codes, available in English, Spanish, Korean, and Tagalog. Community-owned, not run by an outside platform or data broker.
This isn't a database for professionals. It's a tool for the person searching on their phone at 10pm.
What we're doing
- Operating Hub — a live, searchable resource directory at hub.ktown.team with map view, multilingual search, and mobile-first design
- Verifying data — every resource individually checked for accuracy, with 100% language fill and 0 broken links in local zip codes
- Filling coverage gaps — targeted research for underrepresented core Koreatown zips and key service types
- Building community feedback loops — user-submitted reports, email notifications to admin, resolution workflow through the status dashboard
