Why this campaign

A free legal clinic runs every Tuesday at a church on 6th Street. A night market opens this Friday on a rooftop you didn't know existed. A cultural festival fills a parking lot on Western Ave. And you hear about all of them on Monday — after they already happened.

Koreatown has things happening every week, but finding them requires following a dozen Instagram accounts, reading flyers in laundromat windows, or knowing someone who knows. There's no single answer to the simplest question a resident has: what's going on this weekend?

Events exists to be that answer. A community-curated directory of everything happening in Koreatown — browsable by category, in English and Spanish. Not an algorithmic feed. Not a ticketing platform. Just a clear, honest directory of what's happening near you.

What we're doing

• Operating Events — a live events directory at events.ktown.team with 116 events across 8 categories and bilingual support
• Curating from local sources — events from KYCC, Korean Cultural Center, community organizations, and local businesses
• Building community submission — a form for anyone to submit events for listing
• Connecting to the calendar — Events feeds the Ktown Team homepage, Calendar integration planned

How to participate

• Residents: Browse events.ktown.team to plan your week
• Community organizations: Submit your events so they reach more people
• Volunteers: Help research and submit events from local orgs and venues
• Everyone: Share events.ktown.team with anyone who asks what to do this weekend
