Can you find parking?

Hello

If you live in Koreatown, you already know the answer.

Koreatown is one of the most densely populated neighborhoods in Los Angeles - roughly 40,000 people per square mile. Many buildings predate parking requirements. Street parking is tightly regulated, permit systems are expensive, and signage is often unclear. Finding a spot means circling blocks, and that adds up - in time, in gas, in frustration.

It's not a new problem. But no one has tried to solve it with community data before.

What We're Doing

Collecting real experiences. Where is parking worst? What times? What streets? We're gathering reports from residents to build the first community-sourced picture of parking in Koreatown - not traffic counts from city sensors, but real people describing real daily friction.

Pushing for policy input. The city controls street parking, permit zones, and enforcement. Those decisions are made with traffic data but rarely with resident input. We're building the case for community voices in those conversations.

Exploring shared solutions. Carpool matching, shared parking agreements with local businesses, and better information about existing options. These don't require city approval - just coordination.

Share Your Experience

The more residents who report, the clearer the picture gets. Tell us where parking is hardest, what you've tried, and what would actually help.
